How It Works
Proactive Prostate Health Assessment
The Elevated PSA program is an innovative approach to assessing prostate health for men with elevated PSA levels or family history concerns. This proactive, technology-driven program helps you and your doctor stay ahead of any potential developments. The assessment phase is divided into two main parts:
Phase 1: MRI and AI Analysis
1
MRI of Prostate Captured
We start by capturing a high-resolution MRI of your prostate, providing a detailed image for analysis.
2
AI Overread of MRI
Our advanced AI technology performs a thorough analysis of the MRI, ensuring no details are missed and providing an additional layer of scrutiny.
3
MRI-AI Informs Next Steps
Based on the AI analysis, we determine the most appropriate next steps in your care journey.
Phase 2: Follow-up and Further Assessment
4
Active Surveillance or Further Testing
Depending on the MRI-AI results, you may enter an active surveillance program or proceed with additional testing.
5
Biopsy with Digital Pathology (if needed)
If indicated, we perform a biopsy using a state-of-the-art digital pathology system for precise sample collection and analysis.
6
AI Analysis of Digitized Biopsy
The biopsy samples are digitized and analyzed by AI, then reviewed by our medical experts to ensure accuracy.
7
Genetic Testing of Tumor (if applicable)
If a tumor is detected, we conduct genetic testing to understand its characteristics and inform treatment decisions.
Ongoing Support
Throughout your journy you benefit from a collaborative care approach:
-
Clinical Advocate (CA): Your CA is a trained physician employed by Epione who serves as your dedicated guide through the prostate care journey. They work closely with you and your primary care physician, helping to navigate your care within the Epione system and coordinating with other specialists as needed.
-
Patient-Controlled Care Navigation Tools: These provide you ownership of the information, images and communications because managing a prostate condition is rarely one and done. They’re easy to use, secure (follow HIPAA guidelines) and provide you on-going control.
